Aug 08, 2022Phil Alvarez
August is national Peach month – a celebration of the decadent fruit that has been dubbed the symbol of longevity and immortality. However, it’s no coincidence that we’ve dropped our newest wrap flavor, ‘Fuzzy Peach’ around the same time. Peaches are one of the most popular fruits in the United States and each year the US grow over 1.9 billion pounds of peaches; peach trees can also produce fruit for up to 12 years. It’s no wonder that we need to have a month dedicated to these delicious treats. However, contrary to popular belief, peaches are NOT native to the United States; in fact, peaches originated in China where it was known for its symbolism of youth, longevity & immortality; it had been cultivated since at least 1000 BC. It gradually found its way to Persia where it was discovered by Alexander The Great who brought several trees to Greece and named the fruit ‘Prunus Persica’ which translates to Persian Plum. Since then, peaches have a variety of species and different colors of flesh (white, yellow, red) in the United States and have become a staple in supermarkets. Our newest wrap ‘Fuzzy Peach’ is a light, juicy, delicate tasting wrap with subtle hints of floral flavor - it’s guaranteed to make you salivate as you enjoy the natural CBD properties of our wraps. Try Fuzzy Peach out today.
